CERTIFICATIONS
Every GD Dorigo door is the result of a controlled, engineered process focused on excellence. GD Dorigo’s production philosophy is based on a commitment that is renewed every day to guarantee the quality and safety of our interior doors.
We manufacture within a company system certified according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, which guarantees the quality of processes at every stage: from the selection of raw materials to production. The entire production process is also constantly monitored with specific product tests carried out by the accredited Catas laboratory, which guarantees compliance with rigorous standards.
For GD Dorigo, quality is not just an intention, but a measurable fact: our doors undergo rigorous functional and mechanical tests conducted by the Giordano Institute, one of the most authoritative bodies in Europe. The results confirm the structural strength and long-term reliability of the doors, even under conditions of intensive use.
TESTS PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH UNI EN STANDARDS
The tests were conducted on doors installed in accordance with the criteria of the PosaClima INDOOR Premium Plus system, to verify their performance in real-world conditions.
These tests are essential for declaring the mechanical performance class of a door and are partly comparable to those required by European standards for security, fire-rated or intensive-use doors.
This standard defines the method for testing the mechanical durability of pedestrian doors (i.e. passage doors, in residential, workplace or commercial contexts) through repeated opening and closing cycles. The tests are carried out by assessing the strength of the entire system: frame, door leaf and hardware. The aim is to ensure that, after a predetermined number of cycles (several thousand), the door continues to function correctly without deformation or failure.
The standard applies to swing doors and assesses permanent deformation when a vertical load is applied to the open door, fixed to its frame. It is used to verify how much weight the door can bear without suffering irreparable damage.
The permanent deformation of the door leaf following static torsional stress (forced rotation of the open door leaf) is measured. The standard serves to ensure that torsional stresses, for example to unblock a stuck door, do not compromise its normal use.
This standard assesses the impact resistance of a soft body of a predetermined weight, simulating kicks or pushes, against the door leaf closed and fixed to its frame. It serves to check that the door does not suffer significant damage in the event of accidental impact.
INTERNAL LABORATORY CHECKS
In addition to regulatory tests, GD Dorigo carries out periodic internal checks on every component and finish of the door to ensure even higher quality standards. In particular, targeted tests are carried out to:
Each door is subjected to specific tests to assess the resistance of glued joints over time and under critical conditions. This ensures that the frame remains stable and secure even after years of intensive use; that there is no detachment between layers of different materials (e.g. veneers, panels, decorative elements); and that the door maintains its structural integrity even in environments with variable humidity or subject to temperature changes.
Door surfaces are tested to withstand scratches and rubbing caused by everyday use (e.g. contact with bags, suitcases, shoes); to counteract wear and tear caused by frequent opening in high-traffic environments such as hotels, schools and offices; and to maintain a high aesthetic standard over time, even on matt, lacquered or open-pore finishes.
Doors are subjected to controlled humidification and drying cycles to assess the dimensional stability of the materials, the resistance to deformation of the frame and door leaf, the reaction of surface finishes in humid environments (e.g. bathrooms, kitchens, laundry areas), and the absence of swelling, cracks or delamination over time.
In-house laboratories test the resistance of surfaces to neutral detergents and commonly used disinfectants; to non-aggressive chemicals used in professional cleaning; to streaks, discolouration or abnormal reactions on finishes, to ensure long-lasting aesthetics even in environments subject to frequent sanitisation (e.g. healthcare, catering, hotels).
All these checks contribute to a single goal: to offer customers a product that is attractive to look at, reliable in everyday use and durable over time, even in the most demanding contexts.
100% CLEAN ENERGY CERTIFICATION
GD Dorigo confirms its commitment to environmental sustainability.
In 2024, we chose to power our operations exclusively with energy from renewable sources, thanks to Dolomiti Energia’s 100% Clean Energy offering.
This certificate attests to our concrete contribution to reducing CO2 emissions, an important step towards a more sustainable future for our region and future generations.
QUALITY TESTED ACCORDING TO UNI STANDARD
In this video, we demonstrate how each type of GD Dorigo swing door has been rigorously tested according to the UNI 14351-2 regulatory standard to verify its impact resistance, durability, and safety. The tests have demonstrated that GD Dorigo interior doors guarantee consistently high standards over time.
